One map, everything on it
Dispersed sites, free camps, established campgrounds, RV parks, rest stops and retail overnight — plus the hikes, hot springs and small towns worth the detour.
Road Wild is a companion for van life. Find somewhere to park for the night, something worth stopping for tomorrow, and the people roaming the same roads as you.

The problem
Camping data is scattered across agency websites, forum threads and screenshots in your camera roll. Road Wild pulls it into one place — and lets the people actually out there keep it honest.
Dispersed sites, free camps, established campgrounds, RV parks, rest stops and retail overnight — plus the hikes, hot springs and small towns worth the detour.
Tell it your pace, what you like doing and how you prefer to sleep. Get a route with stops that actually make sense for your rig and your week.
Community boards, free to read and post in. Direct messages and opt-in location sharing come with Road Wild+ — find nomads nearby, only when you want to be found.
How it works
Search by sleep style or by what there is to do nearby. Every listing shows where its information came from and whether a nomad has actually confirmed it.
Drop stops in the order you want them, or hand your dates and preferences to the trip planner and let it draft the run for you.
Check in at stops, leave a quick review, add the spot nobody's listed yet. The map gets better for whoever pulls in behind you.
Honest data
Most listings started as bulk imports from public land databases, and some spot types are best guesses from a name. Rather than hide that, every spot carries a provenance badge — imported, or confirmed by someone who slept there.
A pin is a lead, not a promise. Rules, closures and conditions change — check locally before you commit to a night somewhere.
Questions
Road Wild is live and usable, but access is invite-only while we shake out rough edges. Testers get every paid feature free for the duration of the beta, and we'll reach out well before anything changes.
Honestly, we don't know. Invites go out in batches because the group is deliberately small. Putting your name in is a request, not a queue position, and some requests won't get one.
It's broad rather than deep. More than 20,000 overnight spots across all 50 states, most of them imported from public land and agency data and never personally visited. Telling us which pins are wrong is the single most useful thing a beta tester does.
The map itself stays free — that isn't a launch promotion. Paid features are still being built and haven't been priced. Nothing you see on the pricing page is a feature we're pretending already exists.
Send you a confirmation, then an invite when there's one. That's it. There's no analytics, no cookie and no advertising pixel anywhere on this site — see the privacy page.
One email address is all that's required. We'll tell you when there's a spot, and nothing else.
